The 2‑pole conductor bar system PR2 is now officially available for intralogistics applications

In recent years, developments within intralogistics have led to faster, lighter and more compact systems. Applications such as shuttle systems, transfer cars and compact cranes place increasing demands on power supply solutions. These systems operate continuously and require consistent performance at high speeds.

PR2 is developed to support reliable power transmission in these environments.

System characteristics

PR2 is a compact 2‑pole conductor bar system, designed for applications where efficiency and continuity are critical. Key characteristics include:

  • Compact 2‑pole profile, aligned with industry-standard dimensions
  • Designed for currents up to 100 A
  • Suitable for travel speeds up to 500 m/min
  • Wheel-guided, spring-loaded current collector for stable contact and minimum wear
  • Continuous copper conductors for stable electrical performance

The PR2 system is based on the proven reliable ‘continuous copper’ technology, recognized by our AKAPP LongLife quality mark. Eliminating connections/transitions that typically cause wear and contact degradation. Resulting in exceptionally low collector trolley wear for AKAPP-LongLife performance.

This results in a stable current transfer and controlled wear of collector components. The continuous copper surface supports consistent contact, contributing to predictable system behaviour during operation. As a result, PR2 supports reliable performance in continuous operation, while helping to reduce maintenance requirements and total cost of ownership over time.
