Connected conductor system for cranes

The AKAPP Click Ductor system is a compact and reliable solution for the power supply of moving equipment in a wide range of industrial applications. Designed for applications where fast installation, flexibility and ease of handling are key, the system offers dependable performance for cranes, hoists and transport systems in both standard and moderately demanding environments.

Unlike the AKAPP Multiconductor system, Click Ductor is based on a modular, jointed conductor concept with pre mounted copper conductors, fully integrated in a robust insulating housing. A defining feature of the Click Ductor system is its ‘Click & Screw’ connection technology, where the conductors are fast and easy inter-connected, for a straightforward installation. The generic mounting components, such as brackets and feed boxes, are identical to those used in the Multiconductor series.

Thanks to its modular design and flexible configuration, Click Ductor is ideal for straight tracks and standard crane applications, while still allowing longer travel distances and system extensions. Temperature changes leading to expansion/contraction of the materials, potentially affecting the rail alignment/mechanical stress, are handled within the VC-joints expansion capabilities, between the rail sections.

Click-Ductor system: Quick Connect

The copper conductors within each Click-Ductor housing are interconnected in a simple and reliable way. Depending on the current rating, either click-fastened or screw-fastened connectors are applied.

Click-Clamp

  • 50A, 80A and 110A

Screw-Connect

  • 125A, 160A, 200A
Click-Ductor click-clamp close up

'Click-Clamp'

Spring-loaded brass clamps automatically lock onto the outer ends of the conductor strips. An integrated recess ensures proper alignment and continuous contact between the strips.

'Screw-Connect'

A bolted connection ensures a stable and vibration-resistant joint. A locking nut maintains the correct tightening torque and prevents loosening.

Overhead cranes, EOT cranes

Overhead cranes, also referred to as bridge cranes or EOT cranes, are widely used in industrial environments for lifting and transporting heavy loads. The crane travels along elevated runways, with a trolley and hoist enabling horizontal and vertical load movement.

These systems operate on fixed travel paths and require a reliable power supply for consistent crane movement. Akapp Click Ductor systems provide this through a modular design with ‘Click’ assembly of segments, allowing flexible installation and straightforward adaptation to the crane layout, both indoors and outdoors (with AS7 sealing strip).

Process cranes

Proces cranes combine automated technology with overhead cranes for handling heavy duty loads and streamline the working procedures.

These applications demand a durable power supply solution that supports the high operational availability and reliability. The Akapp Click-Ductor system is well suited for these indoors applications, offering a stable current transfer and a rigid conductor design that performs reliably on long, straight travel tracks.
Automated production and assembly line with industrial machinery for efficient manufacturing and material handling.

Automated production systems

Automated production systems are used in industrial environments to manage and control production processes with minimal manual intervention. These systems integrate machines and transport equipment to ensure a coordinated and efficient production flow.

These systems must operate as efficiently as possible. Fast installation and ease of handling are key to maintaining a reliable power supply. Akapp Click Ductor systems support this with pre mounted conductor segments and click together connections.
