Traditional systems rely on multiple PVC rail segments with integrated conductors that introduce joints/transitions in the power transition once assembled. These transitions can introduce additional resistance, wear and potential points of failure over time. AKAPP LongLife technology is built on a different principle: continuous copper conductors without mechanical joints. By eliminating these transitions, the system provides a stable and consistent power supply across the entire installation.

At the interface between conductor and current collector, this design results in a smooth copper running surface. Carbon brushes maintain consistent contact, which reduces friction and limits the formation of carbon deposits. This contributes to more stable trolley movement, less noise and a longer service life of wear parts.

The benefits become more apparent in demanding applications. Continuous copper conductors maintain performance under conditions such as:
