AKAPP-STEMMANN supported successful event ‘Alpe d’HuZes’ Friday 10 June 2011
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”event-news” width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]AKAPP-STEMMANN supported the successful event ‘Alpe d’HuZes’, where cyclists gather money by cycling. They do that in a team or as an individual. Doing so, they contribute to the struggle against cancer. On only one day, the cyclist must at least 6 times climb the famous and legendary mountain Alp d’Huez upwards to the top![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Climbing to the top of the Alp d’Huez seems like a ‘mission impossible’. Nevertheless, many participating cyclists (even a number of (ex) patients suffering with cancer ) had succeeded between the years 2006 to 2010. In 2010 an amount of over 12 million euro was collected. The goal for this edition 2011, the 6th time this event was held, was to smash this record and to collect over 20 million euro by cycling for this sympathettic action![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]On June 9th 2011, the event reached a new record and collected 20,106,345.75 euro for the Alpe d’HuZes/KWF-Fund. The money will be spent for 100% for cancer research.
There were over 4,300 cyclists and other participants, under which famous Dutch people.
